Joshua Short and friends (TBA)

Joshua Short’s current work involves sonic sculpture that explores themes of American Mythologies and ritual. Themes of Horror, the American Gothic, Punk, “Ruins in the making,” beasts, beauty, transportation and legends are considered. Joshua will create new work for a one night sonic experience, built from a conglomerate of handmade speakers, kinetic sculpture, dissonant sounds captured from recent travels across the American landscape, and sounds from the collective cultural memory. Live broadcasts of frying food and ambient sound from Rusty’s Southern will be included as part of the event.

Ryan Jobes will give a special performance as well.

After party/debut of “Rusty’s Wall” by Joshua Short will happen post event at Rusty’s Southern 750 Ellis St. Fried finger food, beer, and southern metal will be served.
