This March 23-25, Art Basel Hong Kong returns to the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre for its fifth annual edition. Art Basel Hong Kong includes 242 exhibitors from 34 countries and territories, as well as a new sector, Kabinett. The exhibitors in Kabinett present curated projects in a separate area within their booths, ranging from one person shows, thematic group exhibitions, installations, film/video programs to collections of art historical material. The Discoveries sector, reserved for emerging contemporary artists, features five digital paintings on anodized aluminum by Petra Cortright presented by Société; video, photography, and painting by Ishu Han presented by URANO; Edgardo Aragón’s installation Dragon Mart presented by mor charpentier; and more. Other sectors include Insights, which features projects by galleries based in the Asia and the Asia-Pacific region and representing artists from the region, and Encounters, which features large scale sculpture and installation work.
