Now on view at Eric Firestone Gallery, Fresh Cuts is a group exhibition curated by Agathe Snow and Eric Firestone featuring artworks that include flowers and botanical motifs. Works on view employ flowers and plants in more and less conventional ways; botanical forms are used as representations of life, growth, death, and renewal, as decorative and compositional enhancements, as art historical references, and more. Fresh Cuts includes sculpture, painting, and photography, with sculptures by Donald Baechler, Marco Barrera, Cody Hoyt, and Tony Matelli, paintings by Sanford Biggers, Kelsey Brookes, Ann Craven, Rosson Crow, Danny Fox, Andrew Kuo, Odessa Straub, Sage Vaughn, and Paul Wackers, and photographs by Jessica Craig-Martin and Hanna Liden.
