Harold Ancart is currently on view at CLEARING Gallery in Brooklyn, NY.  For his solo exhibition, “ANACONDA STANDARD,” Ancart completely transforms the gallery by installing a backdrop reminiscent of an enchanted forest, and included a carefully considered collection of c-prints and paintings that garnish the faux landscape.  Scenes of burning topical vacation destinations make their debut in this exhibition as they hang effortlessly on the dense forest imagery in the background, that look strangely familiar to scenes from the renowned film “Apocalypse Now.”  This exhibition can only be fully enjoyed in person, but for those who are not in New York enjoy the images below.

The last day to see this exhibition is tomorrow, October 27th.  We recommend you to visit CLEARING Gallery in Brooklyn and get acquainted with their programming.
