March 2-5, 2017

March 2, The Armory Show opens at Piers 92 and 94. Now in its 23rd year, The Armory Show is divided into sections: Galleries, Insights, Presents, Focus, and Platform. The Armory Presents section features emerging artists and galleries, while Insights is dedicated to solo-artist, dual-artist, and thematic presentations by 20th century artists. The Focus section is orchestrated by an annually appointed curator; this year’s iteration, What Is To Be Done?, is directed by Jarrett Gregory and features 12 solo-artist presentations. Platform, debuting at The Armory Show this year, presents large-scale artworks, installations and site-specific commissions; this year’s Platform section, An Incident, is curated by Eric Shiner and features 14 internationally acclaimed artists. The Armory Show is complemented by a series of conversations and panel discussions; a full schedule of events is now available.
