Wednesday, August 6, Rayko Photo Center hosts a reception for “The Perimeter of the World: Contemporary Travel Photography.” Juried by Judy Walgren, director of photography for the San Francisco Chronicle, and Ann Jastrab, director of exhibitions at the Rayko Photo Center, the exhibition features artists exploring new directions in travel photography. Judy Walgren, recipient of a Pulitzer Prize in International Reporting for her work with the Dallas Morning News, has worked as a war photographer, food stylist, photo/video editor, and more. Ann Jastrab has curated exhibitions for a number of prominent San Francisco art institutions, and evaluates work for a variety of renowned national and international portfolio review programs. The jurors’ awards will be announced at the reception.

 

The reception takes place Wednesday, August 6 from 6 – 8 pm.
