This Saturday, April 5th at Studio Grand, Oakland is “PITCH BLACK,” a two part event beginning with a presentation of a text considering darkness by Lawrence Rinder followed by a sound performance in complete darkness by Chris Duncan. “PITCH BLACK is a platform to consider the positive aspects and capabilities of darkness through words, sound, collaboration and shared experiences.  Historically and culturally darkness is stigmatized as a negative – it’s opposite, light, being a positive.  “PITCH BLACK” is an outlet to challenge that notion.
