This Thursday, February 27, is “Roxie J’Adore: Photo Auction Party,” a lively auction party and the last chance to bid on various artists’ work at the Roxie, San Francisco. Registered bidders are invited to make a final bid in person or by proxy. For guests, an RSVP is requested with a $20 donation at the door. Artists include: Jo Babcock, John Chiara, Susan Meiselas, Chris McCaw, Richard Barnes, Reagan Louie, Lew Thomas, Luis Delgado, Kota Ezawa, Jack Fulton, William Farley, Judy Dater, Nigel Poor, Jim Goldberg, Michael Venera, Michael Kenna, Hal Fischer, Lourdes Grobet, Lucy Gray, Louis Faurer, Linda Connor, Aaron Siskind, Arne Svenson, and Lee Friedlander.

 

Located in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission District, the Roxie is a unique theatre showcasing movies of the past, present and future. The Roxie has two auditoriums: The Big Roxie seating 238 people, the second-oldest continually run cinema in the world, and a the Little Roxie seating 49 people.  The Roxie is an essential staple venue for film and the cinematic arts.
