Thursday, January 16th is “ConVerge: New Year’s Collaborative Works” hosted by YBCA, San Francisco inviting Bay Area curators working in contemporary art centers to participate in an evening of performance and conversation that will explore cross-disciplinary collaboration and generative platforms in art-making today. Ringing in the New Year, YBCA’s public spaces will ignite in a fluid sculptural environment punctuated by sound, film, discussion, and more. Participating curators include: Devon Bella of Kadist SF, Kevin Chen of Intersection for the Arts, Jeanne Gerrity of the Contemporary Jewish Museum, Jenny Gheith of SFMOMA, Justin Hoover of SOMArts, Hesse McGraw of the San Francisco Art Institute, Betti-Sue Hertz and Ceci Moss of YBCA, Amy Owen of di Rosa, Monica Ramirez-Montagut of MACLA, Meg Shiffler of SFAC Gallery, and Frank Smigiel of SFMOMA. This is a one night event.
