Now on view at Crown Point Press, Kind of Blue is a group exhibition featuring printmaking work by Anne Appleby, John Chiara, Richard Diebenkorn, Leonardo Drew, Marcel Dzama, Jacqueline Humphries, Shoichi Ida, Tom Marioni, Chris Ofili, Laura Owens, Ed Ruscha, Pat Steir, Wayne Thiebaud, Richard Tuttle, William T. Wiley, Fred Wilson, and John Zurier. The exhibition, which takes its name from Miles Davis eponymous jazz album, demonstrates the variety of ways in which the color blue has been utilized by artists of different generations and stylistic approaches. Kind of Blue features work by seventeen artists who have used blue pigment in projects at the Crown Point studio over the last four decades. Kind of Blue features a new etching by Wayne Thiebaud.
