1275 Minnesota Street Suite 105, San Francisco, CA 94107
September 10 – October 22, 2016
Reception: September 10, 6-9 pm

September 10, Ever Gold [Projects] opens The Cut, a two-person exhibition with Brooklyn-based artists Adam Parker Smith and Eric Shaw. Eric Shaw presents a series of hard-edged abstract paintings that begin as digital sketches on a smartphone, transferred to canvas with acrylic and vinyl paint. Shaw builds depth through layers, photographing the paintings daily and generating new digital sketches of forms to include. Adam Parker Smith will present two new bodies of work, building off his recent series of large wall sculptures: in one series, Parker Smith uses materials like EVA foam with UV prints of marble as his canvas, with plastic beads, faux food, and socks inlaid via intarsia. Parker Smith will also be premiering a series of waterjet cut and powder coated aluminum “window view” sculptures.
