The Hammer Museum opens Perfect Likeness: Photography and Composition, an exhibition of photography including works from Thomas Demand, Stan Douglas, Roe Ethridge, Andreas Gursky, Annette Kelm, Elad Lassry, Florian Maier-Aichen, Barbara Probst, Jeff Wall, Christopher Williams, and others. With an emphasis on portraiture and detail, each artist contributes their interpretation of a contemporary photograph.

Gallery Luisotti opens When we were young, a group exhibition featuring early works by artists John Divola, Christina Fernandez, Ron Jude, Mark Ruwedel and Catherine Wagner. The exhibition consists of a variety of early photographs, created for various purposes, audiences and applications, creating dialogue between each artist’s early work and an overall sense of their artistic practice and development.
