April 16 – May 30, 2015
Reception: April 16, 6-8 pm

April 16, 303 Gallery opens All We Need Is Inside, an exhibition of new work by Berlin-based Danish artist Jeppe Hein. Hein presents sculptural objects and visual scenarios in which the perception, interaction, and perspective of the viewer is critical. For All We Need Is Inside, Hein has produced a number of works with mirrored surfaces, as well as an installation of glass spheres containing the artist’s breath, and an installation of blue stripes painted directly onto the gallery wall—a collection of individual marks which represent and mimic individual breaths by Hein during the work’s application. At the center of the gallery rests Sine Curve I, a mirrored structure with gaps between the reflective surfaces, which produces an unusual experience of the exhibition space and a peculiar visual interaction between simultaneous viewers.

Please Touch The Art, a public exhibition by Jeppe Hein, will grace the Brooklyn Bridge Park this May. This will be the largest exhibition of the artist’s work to date, featuring 18 interactive sculptures from three bodies of work, as well as some site-specific additions.
